Mustard Seeds

We offer our clients a wide variety of mustard seeds, which are commonly used as a spice by grinding and mixing them with water and vinegar. These seeds are also processed to produce mustard oil and sauces, which are integral to many Indian dishes. Our mustard seeds boast a rich, nutty flavor that enhances the taste of any culinary preparation.

Mustard seeds can be used whole, ground, cracked, or bruised and are often combined with water, salt, lemon juice, or other liquids, along with additional spices and flavorings, to create pastes or sauces. These mixtures can range in color from bright yellow to dark brown.

We provide black mustard seeds, known for their hot and pungent properties. When fried in oil with cumin seeds until they pop, these mustard seeds impart a delightful flavor and aroma to vegetable dishes and curries, making them a staple in Indian cuisine. We are a leading supplier and exporter of mustard seeds.

Mustard seeds are small, round seeds that measure approximately 1-2 mm in diameter. They can range in color from yellowish-white to black and are a vital spice in various regional cuisines. The seeds originate from three types of mustard plants: Black Mustard (Brassica nigra), Brown Indian Mustard (B. juncea), and White Mustard (B. hirta/Sinapis alba). Black mustard seeds are the most pungent, while white mustard seeds, which are actually yellow, have a milder flavor. Brown mustard seeds, which are dark yellow, offer a pungent and acrid taste. In India, mustard is predominantly cultivated in Gujarat.

Home Remedies:

- Freckles:Yellow mustard is considered an effective remedy for freckles. A small amount of yellow mustard can be ground into a paste and applied to the spots before bedtime, then rinsed off in the morning.

- Muscular Pains:Mustard acts as a rubefacient, causing the skin to redden and warm. A mustard plaster or paste made with water can be used as an analgesic for rheumatism, sciatica, paralysis of limbs, and other muscular pains. However, it should not be applied directly to the skin as it may cause painful blistering; a layer of lint should be placed between the mustard paste and the skin.

- Poisoning:Mustard seeds have emetic properties that induce vomiting. A teaspoon of seeds mixed in a glass of water typically causes vomiting within 5 to 10 minutes, making it useful in cases of drunkenness, narcotic overdoses, and other poisonings.

- Convulsions in Children:A teaspoon of powdered mustard seeds mixed in a gallon of warm water can be used as a therapeutic bath to relieve convulsions in children caused by high fever.

- Ringworm: Mustard paste, when applied externally, is highly effective in treating ringworm. The paste should be applied after washing the affected area with sufficiently hot water.
